[Recall] Update firmware for Outlander and Outlander PHEV

 

From November-19-2018, as requested by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC), Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Co., Ltd. (MMV) will carry out the recall campaign at MMV’s authorized dealers nationwide, with detailed information as below.

Recall Period: From 19 Nov 2018

Applied vehicles: 971 unit of Outlander 2.4 and Outlander PHEV imported/ local assembled in 2017 – 2018, briefly of the vehicle ID number as following:

Please contact your nearest Mitsubishi dealer for checking detail information if your Outlander 2.4 is applied the recall.

Necessary time for firmware update: ~ 20 minutes

Reason of recall:

  • For Outlander 2.4 and Outlander PHEV: update the firmware of ESC’s ECU to avoid electrical noise may be generated when the motor pump is activated, causing incorrect IC operation.
  • For the Outlander PHEV: addition update the firmware FCM-ECU of FCM/LDW (Lane departure warning)/AHB (Auto high beam)-ECU, FCM moderate braking continues even after a pedestrian or object are out of detection.
