ABILITY OF MITSUBISHI VEHICLES TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF DIRECTIVE 20 AND HANOI’S DRAFT RESOLUTION ON LOW EMISSION ZONE

[12/09/2025] Regarding Directive 20 and the Hanoi People’s Council’s draft resolution on low emission zones, all vehicles currently distributed by Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam are capable of meeting the emission standards in the zones outlined in the draft and the directive’s guidelines. 

Directive 20 and the Hanoi’s draft resolution on Low Emission Zones 

To improve air quality in big cities like Hanoi, the government has issued Directive 20 to promote and implement solutions for reducing emissions and establishing low emission zones. 

Subsequently, the Hanoi People’s Council has developed a draft resolution for low emission zones (*), aiming to control vehicles that do not meet Emission Standard Level 4 from circulating in specific areas or during certain hours. 

The Emission Standard is defined in the new QCVN 85:2025/BNNMT, which takes effect on December 16, 2025. Vehicle emissions are categorized into Levels 1 through 5 during periodic inspections at registration centers.
