MITSUBISHI MOTORS VIETNAM NHA TRANG CITY TRAIL 2026: REDISCOVER SOMETHING NEW ON A FAMILIAR JOURNEY

The Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Nha Trang City Trail 2026, held over two days from July 18 to 19 around the Do Theater area, concluded with thrilling emotions and countless memorable moments.

Over 2,000 athletes journey “from sea to mountain”

Early in the morning on July 19, the start area at Do Theater was illuminated and filled with vibrant energy, energized by upbeat DJ sets and warm welcomes from the MC for more than 2,000 runners. At exactly 4:30 AM, the most challenging distance – 35 km – officially kicked off as representatives from Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam waved the ceremonial flag, opening the path for hundreds of headlamps to shine ahead. The 21 km, 12 km, and 5 km distances set off sequentially shortly after.

This year’s route offered a completely new lens to explore Nha Trang by seamlessly blending coastal road running (city) with off-road mountain running (trail). Runners conquered Luong Son Pass, Da Bao Pagoda, and notably crossed the three peaks of Co Tien Mountain to take in the panoramic view of the deep blue Nha Trang Bay from above.

Adventurous spirit and active lifestyle with Mitsubishi Motors

This marks the third consecutive year that Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam has accompanied the Vietnam City Trail series as the Title Sponsor, following the successes of Cu Chi City Trail 2024 and Tam Dao City Trail 2025.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Yanagawa Tomoki, General Director of Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam, shared: “As a trusted companion ensuring safety and peace of mind on every road, Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam is proud to be side-by-side with the athletes in this race. Through this event, we hope to strengthen our connection with the local community and inspire an active and adventurous lifestyle together.”

Resilience and determination in every stride

Along the route connecting the sea to the mountains, the most profound memories were stories of resilience, determination, and connections among the runners – values that define the core spirit of Mitsubishi Motors.
These included elder runners over 60 years old steadily conquering steep inclines in the 12 km distance, demonstrating a timeless athletic spirit filled with passion.

It was the heartwarming finish of a father running alongside his two young children, overcoming injuries and challenging forest terrain together.

It was also the moment a runner acted as “eyes” for a visually impaired friend, patiently holding hands to guide them up the rocky slopes of Co Tien Mountain – reminding everyone present that the brightest light comes from one’s own willpower.

That connection spread naturally among strangers. On steep hills, encouraging shouts of “Keep going, almost there!” or high-fives from passing runners rekindled the drive to push past personal limits and cross the finish line together.

One season closes, new journeys begin

As the city trail comes to a close, what remains is not only the vibrant stained-glass medals, but also smiles, new friendships, and a stronger, refreshed version of oneself on every daily journey. See you again, athletes, in the upcoming trails!
