MITSUBISHI RALLIART EMBARKS ON ITS AXCR 2026 TITLE DEFENSE JOURNEY

This August, Team Mitsubishi Ralliart is ready to defend its title at the Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR), embarking on a six-day journey across Thailand. Competing with 3 all-new Mitsubishi Triton, the team aims to conquer approximately 2,000 kilometers of Asia’s most demanding terrains with the confidence and determination of the reigning champion.

Entering the 2026 season as the defending champion, Team Mitsubishi Ralliart carries the weight of both pressure and high expectations. Hiroshi Masuoka, Team Director of Mitsubishi Ralliart, shared that strong teamwork and the ability to adapt to unpredictable conditions remain key to securing back-to-back victories.

This year, the three Triton rally cars fielded by the Team have undergone further comprehensive development. Its engine, suspension, and other key components have been carefully refined to maximize its potential, ensuring the team enters the rally in peak condition.

At the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, the team unveiled the new Triton livery for AXCR this year. The design was inspired by its legendary rally vehicles, the Lancer Evolution and Pajero – both of which achieved numerous victories in the World Rally Championship and the Dakar Rally. The livery utilizes a red color scheme, with the digital sandstorm graphic and Ralliart logo. The dynamic, rising layout carried over from the front to the rear conveys Mitsubishi Motors’ enduring passion for motorsports.

Insights gained from real-world competition and continuous product refinement serve as a foundation for Mitsubishi Motors to further enhance its production vehicles. The all-new, sixth-generation Mitsubishi Triton has been developed with strong Mitsubishi Motors DNA, delivering powerful performance and outstanding versatility. Its chassis, 2.4L MIVEC Bi-turbo engine, suspension system, renowned Super Select 4WD-II, together with 7 drive modes and advanced active safety systems are optimized to adapt across a wide range of driving conditions, from urban roads to challenging off-road terrains.
